Lenses by Carl Zeiss for SLRs by Nikon, Pentax and everything else
Sharp focus instead of Autofocus. Lenses by Carl Zeiss are well liked by dealers. Most customers that have bought a lens, realise quickly that their other lenses are secondary when it comes to focus and colour brilliance. Which makes one long for more of these top quality lenses. And which we are happy to deliver. The lenses are made in Japan, but the design and the quality control is based in Oberkochen. The images are proof of that. The lenses themselves look good as well, superior gliding adjustment rings are a given, where elsewhere they would have been the victim of cost cutting. Fortunately, the series is expanding on a regular basis. Apart from lenses with Nikon and M42 connections, Pentax-K adapters are now also available. Only the patents of the relatively new EOS bayonets are still resisting the temptation. The market leader seems uninterested in a licensing agreement, maybe the company fears that the „L“ suddenly won't represent maximum possible quality anymore. But these are private speculations on our part. Adapters are fortunately available to attach the M42 or a Nikon bayonet to the EOS. When it comes to Nikon digital cameras, the D200, D300, D1, D2 and D3 can be especially recommended, because the light measuring is faultless compared to that of the amateur DSLRs (D40/50/70/80).
